Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation announced today it has awarded 66 scholarships to residents of communities managed and owned by Balfour Beatty Communities who are moving onto the next step of their academic careers.
Spanning 21 states, residents were awarded scholarships based on their academic achievements and financial need as well as community involvement. These scholarships will aid recipients for the 2018/2019 academic year.
“While we welcome residents into our communities every day, it’s a special honor to be welcomed into the lives of our residents who have shared their stories through essays with us,” said Chris Williams, president of Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation. “The Foundation is proud to play a role in helping so many students living in our communities reach their academic goals and empower them to achieve their dreams. This year, we’re pleased to have awarded a record number of scholarships for the Foundation and look forward to continually growing this program.”
As part of the Foundation’s goal to promote the pursuit of education a commitment to community leadership, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation awards academic scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduate and/or graduate students attending accredited educational/technical institutions.
